The brown of New Mexico is getting a slight green tint and all the little creatures are coming out of hiding. So  I have been out shooting macros for the past week or so. Here are some examples. The first is a shot of some ants. To get this one, i used a Vivitar 28mm f2.8 lens stopped down to f11. Attached to it was around 60 mm of cheap ebay extension tube. Attached to that was my camera of course (Pentax *ist DL). I used my Sigma EF-500 DG Super flash off camera. I triggered it with a set of ebay radio triggers (16 channel).  I was actually pretty amazed with the detail. Click on it to see a larger version.

These next couple images are others that I liked from the past day or so.
