I viewed a stunning New Mexican Sunset last night. It started kind of boring, but I had my camera ready to go on the tripod and was treated to some very nice colors. Starting with yellows, shifting to deep reds, and finishing off with rich pinks. Shown here is my favorite of all the photos I took. I used a Sears 135mm lens to capture the show.

Old Bookmarks from 1997 and 1998

I recently ran across a file which contained some bookmarks from 1997 ‘n 98. (I’m a bit of a pack rat) These selected links are  apparently what I found interesting at the ripe old age of 17 and 18(some linked to archive.org locations due to age) ;-) :

Tyler’s Glow-in-the-Dark Page…It really glows!!!

Macintosh Emulator

Internet in a Baby

Strawberry Pop-Tart Blow-Torches

There are actually some informative links in that archive as well. Including a bookmark to the Libary of Congress, and link to download real player. Even a few bookmarks to internic and the EFF. Frankly, I’m surprised that the glow in dark page is still up. That has to be the most useless page on the net. I another interesting bookmark is this Why Linux page, even though it wasn’t till 2002 or so when I truly converted to the operating system (I switched to FreeBSD first. I then was curious to find out what all the Penguin fuss was about ).

While I’m at it, one of my old old old sites is still up for the time being: http://www.geocities.com/SouthBeach/Sands/3550/ . Wonderful website design. Just throw as  many free web applets up as possible and see which one sticks. The logo was made in Microsoft Image Composer.

Next up, old AYB swf files ;-) .

New Host

I’m now sharing hosting with my good friend Lucas McCarthy.  Hopefully the host transfer was rather seamless.

Here is a photo I took a couple weeks ago. The moon is behind some clouds and looks almost not real.  Though this is exactly what I saw as I was running around trying to set the camera off. Seconds after capturing this the clouds moved on and the scene was over

A few days ago I finally got around to messing with and converting the old ANM xoops database to SMF.  Users can now see the posta made from 2003 – March 2009. Enter the archive at airsoftnewmexico.com/ark .
